Argan Oil

Argan Oil is derived from the Argania spinosa, a drought-resistant and barren-tolerant perennial shrub or small tree endemic to Morocco. It primarily grows in the marginal regions of the Sahara Desert in southern Morocco. The argan tree has a well-developed root system, enabling it to survive in extremely arid climates and barren rocky soils. It can reach a height of 8-10 meters and has a lifespan of over 200 years. Its fruit is a drupe, turning yellowish-green when ripe, with kernels that contain up to 50% oil. The argan tree is not only a vital component of the local ecosystem but also a symbol of Morocco's traditional ethnic culture. For centuries, it has been utilized in food, medicine, and cosmetics.

Argan oil is extracted from the kernels of the argan tree fruit through processes such as shell removal, sun-drying, and cold-pressing or refining. Cold-pressed virgin argan oil exhibits a golden-yellow to deep amber color, carrying a natural nutty aroma while retaining abundant bio-active nutrients. Refined argan oil undergoes decolorization and deodorization treatments, resulting in a lighter color (nearly transparent or pale yellow) with a milder scent and enhanced stability, making it suitable for cosmetic formulations requiring higher standards of color and odor.
